A beautiful property lost in the hands of poor staff

This hotel is in a very prime location. It is a heritage property with beautiful wooden finish allover. Rooms are very nice, but if you look at the exterior of the hotel it looks like a dungeon. Couldn't make out why they have not maintained this property. Staff is very bad with dirty cloths and no grooming. Rooms and the washrooms are well maintained. Didn't get time to visit the restaurant as I stayed here for just one night. Wish they could make it better.

Booked two family suites...The rooms were spacious with two washrooms in each, one of which was a powder room. The food served was also quite good. However, the biggest USP of the hotel is it's location. It's hardly a 7-8 minute walk from the Mall Road, that too an almost-level-walk. Though, on the downside, there is no provision for parking. And also, fair-warning -- there are a lot of monkeys out there. One needs to be careful of one's belongings. But, on the whole, a decent place to stay that does not pinch the pocket.

We booked 2 rooms in this hotel and every thing is good about this hotel except parking problem at mall road. Pros : Near to Mall Road Good Service Good Food Spacious and Clean Rooms Cons : No Hotel Parking in fact on Mall road you will not get any hotel with parking. Paid Parking is half km away where you need to park but good thing is you can come close to the hotel as the hotel is beginning of the mall road and the hotel staff will help for the luggage and go along with you at parking.

Good location, right on one edge of Mall Road Good views of the mountains from backside of the property Lost two stars for not having water when asked in night and for no accessibility to cars during the daytime We were given family room which was big, but lacked certain basics like bottled water Staff were courteous

Good hotel near mall road. Rooms are big clean.staff is very nice. Bathroom is neat n clean. Near railway station. Food is tasty. Nice view from the rooms. Just 5 mins walk for mall road. Hotel has own taxy facilities.
